Story
of the World
Rascal by Sterling North (read
by Jim Weiss) is an autobiographical story about the author's life with his pet
raccoon.
Eleven-year-old Sterling found Rascal - a mischievous, intelligent, and most
engaging young raccoon - in a hollow stump in the woods. Adopted into a
household that included Sterling's absentminded father, four skunks, woodchucks,
a crow named Poe, and half finished 18-foot canoe in the living room. Rascal
became Stelring's constant companion - and ate, slept, and even went to school
with him.Set in 1918, this is a wonderful story about a child and his
pet. Sterling is a very independent and resourceful young man who learns
valuable life lessons during his year with Rascal.
Unabridged. 3 cassettes (not available on CD). Length: 4 hours, 41 minutes.
